insulting someone may in some part be motivated by the wish to change the person’s behavior. yet, especially when dealing with people who take pride in their “unwanted” behavior it may not be useful at all to resort to categories or common insults, as these can be laughed off easily. yet, a precise description of the behavior - even without judgement - can be devastating.
